Excessive rainfall over the burn scar has resulted in debris flows. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... San Isabel, Highway 165, Beulah, Highway 78, stream crossings, and county roads within and immediately downstream of the burn scar.
This includes the following high risk locations... Beulah Water Intake, Northcreek Road county line to Red Mountain Camp and Northcreek Road from Red Mountain Camp to Beulah.
Debris and mud was reported by Emergency Managers at mile marker 18 on Highway 165. Other areas are being evaluated.

* At 200 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Salt Fire Burn Scar. Between 0.3 and 0.9 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Salt Fire Burn Scar, into canyons flowing north towards Cherokee Bill Canyon and US Highway 70. These side canyons include Bear, Snow, and Fence Canyons. Portions of Highway 70 between Apache Summit and the Lincoln County line may be impacted. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

At 530 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the South Fork Burn Scar had ended. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but little to no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact Upper Canyon, Brady Canyon, and Perk Canyon as well as the Cedar Creek, Eagle Creek and Rio Ruidoso drainages. Impacts will include but are not limited to all nearby reservoirs, bridges, culverts and roadways. Impacts to areas along the Rio Ruidoso may extend downstream of Ruidoso Downs. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1012 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that as much as 3 to 5.5 inches of rain fell overnight into early this morning, causing mainly minor flooding issues in various locations, including water likely covering some rural gravel or dirt roads. Fortunately, little to no additional rain is expected today, but at least minor amounts of additional rain could fall tonight into Wednesday morning. - This includes the following streams and drainages... West Branch Spring Creek, Wallace Creek, South Branch Mira Creek, Davis Creek, Spring Creek, North Branch Mira Creek, North Loup River, Cottonwood Creek, Dry Creek, Mira Creek, Shepherd Creek, Rock Creek and Davis Creek Reservoir Area. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Scotia, North Loup, Wolbach and Cushing, but mainly areas near these towns. - As of 945 AM CDT, an automated gauge along the Mira Creek near North Loup reported a stage of 8.35 feet, just below the minor flood stage of 9 feet. .Rainfall of up to ten plus inches last week from northwest Indiana to east central Indiana to southeast Indiana has brought widespread flooding to much of central and southern Indiana.
The crest has occurred on the Driftwood River at Edinburgh, and the river level is expected to continue falling for the foreseeable future. The East Fork White River crest at about moderate flood stage of 17 feet is beginning to move past Seymour. The river is expected to fall for the foreseeable future.
Additional rain is possible overnight tonight, followed by decreasing clouds Monday and dry weather.

Each alert carries one chip that tells you its reliability level at a glance:
- Tier 1: Highest confidence. Confirmed by multiple authoritative or official sources.
- Tier 2: Strong but still developing. Backed by credible sources, with verification ongoing.
- Multi-source: Cleared sourcing, consistency, and accuracy checks; corroborated by independent reports.
Every item also clears the same checks before publishing, whichever chip it carries; the box above explains what "cleared" means. Sourcing detail (how many independent reports, whether it is a primary/official source) is shown per-alert in its "Sources" line.
How to Use This Feed
- Scan fast: The title, timestamp, and chips give you everything you need without reading the full alert.
- Trust the chip: Tier 1 and Tier 2 mean confirmed by multiple sources, at different confidence levels. Multi-source means corroborated but not yet at tier confidence. Each alert's "Sources" line spells out the detail.
