NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued October 2 at 12:07AM HST until October 2 at 1:45AM HST by NWS Honolulu HI

At 1207 AM HST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over Kauai. Rain was falling at a rate of
1 to 2 inches per hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Kapaa, Princeville, Kilauea, Hanalei, Alakai Swamp Trails, North
Fork Wailua Trails, Wainiha, Haena, Na Pali State Park, Kokee State
Park, Wailua Homesteads and Wailua.
