At 1259 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 5 and 7.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area over the next several hours. Flooding is already occurring. Additional heavy rainfall expected over the several hours may exacerbate ongoing flooding, creating life-threatening conditions.
