Horse Creek Near Arcadia at SR 72 affecting DeSoto County.

Peace River At Arcadia at SR 70 affecting DeSoto County.

.Minor flooding is expected to continue on Horse Creek near Arcadia
and Major flooding is expected to continue on the Peace River at
Arcadia due to recent heavy rain.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Peace River at Arcadia at SR 70.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Up to 60 homes at River Acres are flooded.
The Woman's Club and American Legion are impacted.

* Additional Details...
- At 7:30 PM EST Thursday the stage was 16.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:30 PM EST Thursday was 16.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 13.6 feet Tuesday
evening.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.0
feet on 02/21/1998.
