NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued August 30 at 5:25PM MST until August 30 at 10:15PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ
At 525 PM MST /625 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain
earlier over southwest Utah including the Paria River and Buckskin
Gulch resulted in between 0.50 and 1.00 inches of rainfall. A river
gage along the Paria River just north of the Arizona/Utah border
indicated a 2 foot rise. In addition, flow from Buckskin Gulch will
contribute to flash flooding along the Paria River. As a Result,
flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Paria River.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
Paria River.
