NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued August 19 at 5:16PM MDT until August 19 at 6:45PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
At 516 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain over the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar. Up to 1.5
inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1.5
inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are
possible in the warned area.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact portions of the
Hermits Peak-Calf Canyon wildfire burn area.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Hermits Peak and Calf
Canyon Burn Scar.

Tierra Monte, Ledoux, Gascon, Morphy Lake State Park, El Porvenir,
La Cueva, Rociada, South Carmen, Manuelitas and Monte Aplanado.
This includes State Road 518 between Mile Markers 17 and 26.
This also includes Blue Haven Youth Camp and Sebastian Canyon.
