NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued August 19 at 5:29PM MDT until August 19 at 6:30PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO

At 529 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate rain over
the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Flash flooding is ongoing.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar has resulted in debris flows.
The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose
materials.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Middle Aspen Acres Burn
Scar.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
San Isabel, Highway 165, Beulah, Highway 78, stream crossings, and
county roads within and immediately downstream of the burn scar.

This includes the following high risk locations...
Beulah Water Intake, Northcreek Road county line to Red Mountain Camp
and Northcreek Road from Red Mountain Camp to Beulah.

Debris and mud was reported by Emergency Managers at mile marker 18
on Highway 165. Other areas are being evaluated.
