for people in Guam and the Northern Marianas.

.WATCHES/WARNINGS...
A Typhoon Watch continues for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan.

A Tropical Storm Watch continues for Alamagan, Pagan and Agrihan.

A Flood Watch is in effect for all of Guam and the Northern
Marianas. Please listen closely for any Flood Warnings that might
be in effect for your area.

Please check the latest public and marine forecasts for detailed
information about additional hazards.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 2 AM ChST...the center of Typhoon Bavi (09W) was located near
latitude 12.8N...longitude 152.7E. This was about 530 miles east
of Guam. Storm motion was west, 265 degrees, at 12 mph. Storm
intensity was 145 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
It is too early to provide exact wind and surge forecast values for
specific locations. However, close to the center of Typhoon Bavi,
there will be a possibility of catastrophic damage somewhere within
Guam and the Northern Marianas. Additionally, flooding and coastal
inundation will also be concerns.
