Venezuelan Air Defenses Target Unauthorized Drones Over Caracas, US Denies Involvement

VENEZUELA - Security personnel opened fire after unauthorized drones were spotted flying over the airspace of the Venezuelan capital of Caracas. The United States has denied involvement in the incident, which was corroborated by a statement from the Venezuelan government on the matter.
A statement by the Venezuelan Ministry of Communication said, "We want to clarify that what happened in downtown Caracas was due to drones flying over the area without permission, and the police fired warning shots. There was no confrontation. The entire country is completely calm."
CUBA - Cuba’s electrical grid collapsed on July 6, producing a total power failure across the country that began at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, the U.S. Embassy in Havana stated in its security alert.
