WASHINGTON—The National Security Agency, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Energy, and Environmental Protection Agency released joint Cybersecurity Advisory AA26-231A on August 19, warning of an active cyber threat to Siemens S7 Series programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
The authoring agencies state that threat actors are conducting reconnaissance and capability development against U.S.-based Siemens PLC installations. Actors use Internet scanning services to locate Internet-exposed or poorly protected devices running outdated software.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1012 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that as much as 3 to 5.5 inches of rain fell overnight into early this morning, causing mainly minor flooding issues in various locations, including water likely covering some rural gravel or dirt roads. Fortunately, little to no additional rain is expected today, but at least minor amounts of additional rain could fall tonight into Wednesday morning. - This includes the following streams and drainages... West Branch Spring Creek, Wallace Creek, South Branch Mira Creek, Davis Creek, Spring Creek, North Branch Mira Creek, North Loup River, Cottonwood Creek, Dry Creek, Mira Creek, Shepherd Creek, Rock Creek and Davis Creek Reservoir Area. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Scotia, North Loup, Wolbach and Cushing, but mainly areas near these towns. - As of 945 AM CDT, an automated gauge along the Mira Creek near North Loup reported a stage of 8.35 feet, just below the minor flood stage of 9 feet. .Rainfall of up to ten plus inches last week from northwest Indiana to east central Indiana to southeast Indiana has brought widespread flooding to much of central and southern Indiana.
The crest has occurred on the Driftwood River at Edinburgh, and the river level is expected to continue falling for the foreseeable future. The East Fork White River crest at about moderate flood stage of 17 feet is beginning to move past Seymour. The river is expected to fall for the foreseeable future.
Additional rain is possible overnight tonight, followed by decreasing clouds Monday and dry weather.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Fork White River at Seymour.
* WHEN...Until early Thursday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flooding becomes more extensive. Although this level is fairly frequent, many local and state roads flood. Seymour gravel pit begins to flood. Livestock and equipment must be relocated to higher ground. High water surrounds river residences near Rockford. CR 760 E south of river gaging station is impassable.
