NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued October 24 at 4:32PM MDT until October 24 at 5:00PM MDT by NWS El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM

At 432 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles northwest of Pinon, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Otero County, including the following locations... Avis,
Miller Flats, and McDonald Flats.
