River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 48 hours.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Jefferson City.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon to Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 26.3 feet, State Route 179 near Sandy Hook is closed
due to flooding. Also, State Highway K one mile east of McBaine in
Boone County is closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Sunday
afternoon to a crest of 25.6 feet early Tuesday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
