NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued September 29 at 9:37PM CDT until September 29 at 10:15PM CDT by NWS Amarillo TX
At 937 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Mescalero Park, or 7 miles north of Canyon, moving
northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include...
Amarillo, Canyon, and Mescalero Park.
