flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Gila River near Gila River near Solomon.

* WHEN...Until this evening.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Agricultural flooding begins from Solomon
down to Thatcher. Water begins to threaten bridge approaches in the
Safford Valley.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 AM MST Wednesday the stage was 15.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this morning to
21.5 feet late this morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early this afternoon to 17.2 feet.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.8
feet on 10/02/1983.
