Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41
in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.
* WHEN...Until late Wednesday night.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Low-lying wetlands and agricultural land is
inundated near the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Wednesday evening. However, expectations for additional rainfall
later this week may lead to river levels remaining near or rising
back above flood stage.
