The island of Kauai in Kauai County
* Until 830 AM HST.
* At 511 AM HST, local law enforcement reported heavy rain over
central and northern areas on the island of Kauai. The heaviest
rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly within the warned
area. Law enforcement reports that the Hanalei Bridge is still
closed due to Hanalei River flood water inundation.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
