At 302 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to 0.75 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.25 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring on White Sands
Missile Range.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Carrizozo and Oscuro.
This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 36 and 71.
At 1222 PM MDT, White Sands Missile Range reported water over
multiple roads in southwest Lincoln County and southeast Socorro
County.
