For the Des Plaines River...including Russell, Gurnee, Lincolnshire,
Des Plaines, River Forest, Riverside...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to
Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge.
* WHEN...Until Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Kilbourne Road and Emerald Avenue threatened
near Grand Avenue in Gurnee.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 8.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest near 8.2 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage later this
weekend.
