NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued September 24 at 5:10PM MDT until September 24 at 6:45PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

At 510 PM MDT, emergency management reported evacuations are ongoing
from Lincoln towards Hondo along the Rio Bonito. US Highway 380 is
closed at mile marker 103. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Lincoln, Glencoe and Lincoln State Monument.

This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 92 and 99.

An evacuation shelter has been set up at Hondo Valley Public Schools
at 111 Don Pablo Lane.
