NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued September 23 at 9:43PM EDT until September 23 at 11:30PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV

At 943 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Chesapeake, Marmet, Belle, Cedar Grove, East Bank, Glasgow, Pratt,
Coal Fork, Handley, and Sharon.

This includes West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 79 and 90.
