NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued September 21 at 4:19PM EDT until September 21 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 419 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen since 2:30 PM in the hardest hit areas. Additional rainfall
amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
