NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued September 3 at 4:27PM EDT until September 3 at 5:00PM EDT by NWS Detroit/Pontiac MI

At 427 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Monroe, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Monroe County, including the following locations...
Newport, Estral Beach, South Rockwood, Woodland Beach, Stony Point,
La Salle, Bolles Harbor, Detroit Beach, and Rockwood.
