NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued September 3 at 4:08PM EDT until September 3 at 4:30PM EDT by NWS Detroit/Pontiac MI

At 408 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes
were located along a line extending from Detroit Zoo to near Romulus
to near Milan, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

These dangerous storms will be near...
Taylor, Flat Rock, Downtown Detroit, Detroit, Dearborn, Wyandotte,
and Trenton around 415 PM EDT.
Grosse Ile and Belle Isle around 420 PM EDT.
Grosse Pointe around 425 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these tornadic storms include Melvindale,
Gibraltar, New Boston, Rockwood, Harper Woods, Grosse Pointe Shores,
Ecorse, Grosse Pointe Woods, Woodhaven, and Lincoln Park.
