NWS / NOAA weather: Flood Warning issued September 3 at 7:44AM CDT until September 3 at 10:15AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing.

* WHERE...Northern Liberty County in southeastern Texas...
Southeastern Polk County in southeastern Texas...
East Central San Jacinto County in southeastern Texas...

* WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding including FM 943 at Menard Creek near
Segno.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 743 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area.
Between 6 and 16 inches of rain have fallen.
- Rainfall is beginning to filter back into Polk County. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned
area. If rainfall persists for an extended period of time or if
rain rates increase, this may need to be upgraded to a Flash
Flood Warning again.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shepherd, Goodrich, Alabama-Coushatta Reservation and Segno.
