The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
The Cottonwood burn scar Piute in...
West Central Piute County in central Utah...

* Until 615 PM MDT.

* At 311 PM MDT, Emergency management reported flooding and debris
flow on the City Creek drainage and subsequent flooding across
Highway 89 due to heavy rain over the Cottonwood Burn Scar. Between
0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing. The
debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose
materials.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Cottonwood Burn Scar.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
Cottonwood Burn Scar, especially the City Creek drainage.
