The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Iron County in southern Utah...
West Central Kane County in southern Utah...
Southeastern Washington County in southwestern Utah...

* Until 600 PM MDT.

* At 305 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area, including Zion National Park. Up
to 0.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons, normally
dry washes, and creeks.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Zion National Park, La Verkin, Apple Valley, Virgin, Springdale and
Rockville.
