* Until 600 AM EDT.
* At 1201 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2.5 to 3.5 inches in 1
hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of State on August 1 advised Americans currently in the Middle East to exercise caution and heightened vigilance and to prepare for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions.
