NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued July 28 at 9:00PM EDT until July 28 at 9:15PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

At 900 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 10 miles north of Clarkesville, or 5 miles south of Lake
Burton, moving south at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northern Habersham and southwestern Rabun Counties, including the
following locations... Turnerville, Seed Lake, and Batesville.
