Southeastern Madison County in western North Carolina...
Central Buncombe County in western North Carolina...

* Until 700 PM EDT.

* At 621 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles east of Marshall, or near Mars Hill, moving
southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

B.R. Parkway-East Asheville To Craggy Gardens around 640 PM EDT.
Swannanoa and Warren Wilson College around 650 PM EDT.
