NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 22 at 9:15PM MDT until July 22 at 9:45PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO

At 915 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms which produced
heavy rain over the Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar have moved east of
the burn scar. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding
is expected to continue until the water has a chance to recede.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow. The
debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose
materials.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Southern Aspen Acres Burn
Scar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Rye, San Isabel and Colorado City.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
Muddy Creek and its tributaries, Spring Branch, Greenhorn Creek,
and Saint Charles River.
