increased in duration for the following rivers in Texas...

Frio River Near Derby affecting Frio County.

Frio River Below Dry Frio affecting Uvalde County.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Frio River near Derby.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Major flooding reaches lowest homes and
businesses downstream in Tilden. Hundreds of livestock are trapped
and potentially drowned in low areas of the flood plain near Derby
to Choke Canyon Reservoir. Major flooding of crop and pasture land
near the river inundates oil well pump jacks and irrigation pumps.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 12.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 AM CDT Friday was 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.0
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage late Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
21.8 feet on 06/24/1997.
