Frio River Near Derby affecting Frio County.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Frio River near Derby.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Significant crop and pastureland flooding
below Uvalde to Choke Canyon Reservoir floods oil well pump jacks,
irrigation pumps and any equipment in the flood plain. Numerous
secondary roads and low bridges are flooded. Livestock are cut off
and potentially drowned in low areas of the flood plain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 8.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Thursday was 8.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 13.0 feet Sunday morning
and remain near that level through Monday morning. It will
then fall slowly but remain above flood stage.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
