NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 17 at 5:06PM MDT until July 17 at 5:45PM MDT by NWS Salt Lake City UT

At 506 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
rain fell from earlier thunderstorms over City Creek with the
Cottonwood Burn scar in Piute County. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the City Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock,
mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Cottonwood Burn scar in
Piute County.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around
the Cottonwood Burn scar in Piute County...specifically
within the City Creek drainage
