NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 16 at 6:09PM CDT until July 16 at 8:30PM CDT by NWS Midland/Odessa TX

At 609 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Radar and gauge observations
indicate between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding
is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Persimmon Gap, Big Bend National Park, Santiago Peak, Terlingua
Ranch Lodge and Terlingua Ranch Airport.
