Cedar River at Charles City affecting Floyd County.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Cedar River at Charles City.

* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Fourth Street at South Grand Avenue begins
to flood. East Riverside Drive at Brantingham Streets are closed.
Sandbag efforts begin along Gilbert Street.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 15.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 3:00 AM CDT Friday was 15.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.8 feet
this morning. It will then fall below flood stage just after
midnight tonight.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.8
feet on 04/08/2001.
