NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued July 6 at 3:25PM EDT until July 6 at 4:00PM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC

At 324 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over the Croatan Sound just west of Manteo, or 7 miles
south of Kill Devil Hills, and is nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
