NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 6 at 1:11PM EDT until July 6 at 3:45PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 111 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain with significant flooding near Lakewood with
several road closures and flooded roadways. Between 2 and 3.5 inches
of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 inches in 1
hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach,
Lakehurst, Mantoloking, Brick Township, Allenwood, Ramtown,
Leisure Village East and Leisure Village.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 22 and 34.
Garden State Parkway between mile markers 85 and 99.
