* WHAT...A Typhoon Warning remains in effect through at least Tuesday
night.
* WHERE...Marianas Coastal Waters.
* WHEN...Damaging winds expected through early Tuesday morning.
Destructive typhoon force winds expected early Monday morning
through Monday afternoon with the passage of Super Typhoon Bavi.
* IMPACTS...Sustained winds of near 160 kt with gusts to 190 kt near
the center. Seas of up to 45 ft near the storm center.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Typhoon conditions, including winds of 64
knots or more, are occurring as Super Typhoon Bavi (09W) moves
across Marianas coastal waters and passes through Rota. Bavi is
maintaining strength as a Category 5 during passage across the
region. The forecast track will likely continue to have minor track
shifts during the next 12 hours. All of the islands are still
expected to continue seeing impacts from Bavi for much of today and
tonight.
