- At 827 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen.

HAVANA - As of 10:43 p.m. EST on August 2, Cuba experienced a total power failure due to a collapse of its electrical grid, according to a U.S. Embassy Havana security alert published August 3, as well as a statement by the Cuban Electric Union on the same day.
CUBA - Cubaโs electrical grid collapsed on July 6, producing a total power failure across the country that began at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, the U.S. Embassy in Havana stated in its security alert.
AMERICAS AND ASIA-PACIFIC - Twin earthquakes of magnitude 7.5 and 7.2 struck western Venezuela early on June 25, causing building collapses in Caracas and other areas and prompting authorities to announce a state of emergency.
