NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued July 4 at 4:23PM CDT until July 4 at 4:45PM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN

At 423 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Melrose, or 31 miles southeast of Alexandria, moving
southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
Meire Grove, Melrose, New Munich and Freeport.
