NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 4 at 7:14AM EDT until July 4 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 714 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen since 6 AM across the hardest hit areas. Additional rainfall
amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area through 8
AM. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
London, Atlanta, Mcwhorter, Maplesville and Greenmount.
