The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Johnson County in east central Kansas...
Miami County in east central Kansas...
Western Cass County in west central Missouri...

* Until 630 PM CDT Saturday.

* At 1225 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in the
Hillsdale area, with a water rescue in progress. Between 1 and 2
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to
1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Belton, Raymore, Gardner, Harrisonville, Paola, Spring Hill,
Peculiar, Osawatomie, Louisburg, Edgerton, Archie, Lake Winnebago,
Drexel, Cleveland, Freeman, Lake Annette, West Line and Chiles.
