NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 3 at 8:46PM CDT until July 3 at 10:45PM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL

At 846 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in
Davenport. Multiple roads have water over them and a portion of
Western Avenue is closed. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen over much of the warned area this evening. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible this evening, mainly
on the Illinois side of the Quad Cities. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, East Moline, Silvis,
Eldridge, Le Claire, Hampton, Port Byron, Buffalo, Rapids City,
Princeton, Riverdale, Carbon Cliff, Panorama Park, Rock Island
Arsenal, Davenport Municipal Airport, Campbells Island and
Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 74.
Interstate 280.
Interstate 80.
