NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 3 at 10:41PM CDT until July 4 at 1:15AM CDT by NWS Chicago IL

At 1041 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the area with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per
hour. Up to 2 inches of rainfall has fallen so far. Additional
rainfall in excess of 1 inch is possible, especially in northern
Lake County.

HAZARD...Flash flooding.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
other poor drainage areas.

Chicago, Hammond, Gary, Oak Lawn, Calumet City, Roseland, South
Shore, Englewood, Chicago Lawn, East Chicago, Schererville,
Lansing, Highland, Blue Island, Munster, Alsip, Chatham, Auburn
Gresham, Ashburn and New City.
