The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
Northwestern Lake IN County in northwestern Indiana...

* Until 115 AM CDT.

* At 1009 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with
rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour moving into an area that
have previously received multiple waves of rainfall. Up to 1.5
inches of rain have fallen, with an additional 1 to 2 inches
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
other poor drainage areas.

Chicago, Hammond, Gary, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Calumet City,
Chicago Heights, Roseland, South Shore, Englewood, Chicago Lawn,
East Chicago, Schererville, Lansing, Oak Forest, Harvey, Highland,
Blue Island, Munster and Dolton.
