NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 3 at 5:29PM EDT until July 3 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Morristown TN

At 529 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing
heavy rain. Numerous reports of street flooding across southern
Hamilton County from county dispatch. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Chattanooga, Ridgeside, Red Bank, East Ridge and Lookout Mountain.

This includes Interstate 75 in Tennessee between mile markers 1 and
7.
