Northern Polk County in central Iowa...
* Until 515 AM CDT.
* At 1116 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.
Rainfall varies greatly over northern Polk County into northern
Jasper County. Many areas in Jasper County have received 2 inches
or less of rain while parts of northern Polk County have received
in excess of 5 inches. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
