The headwaters of Waterloo Creek received upwards of 5 inches of
rain overnight. This is leading to near record levels on the Waterloo
Creek upstream of Dorchester Iowa.
* WHAT...Stream flooding on Waterloo Creek caused by excessive
rainfall is occurring. Near to record levels on the Waterloo Creek
is expected near Dorchester.
* WHERE...Northwestern Allamakee County in northeastern Iowa...
* WHEN...Until 445 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1050 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3.5 and 5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.
