The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Hooker County in west central Nebraska...
West central Thomas County in north central Nebraska...

* Until 1215 AM CDT/1115 PM MDT/.

* At 1140 PM CDT/1040 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm capable of
producing a tornado was located 17 miles east of Swan Lake, or 18
miles south of Mullen, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Hooker and west central Thomas Counties, including the
following locations... Highway 97 crossing the Dismal River and
Shimmons Lake.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 2 between mile markers 191 and 192.
Highway 97 between mile markers 47 and 61.
