NWS / NOAA weather: Flood Warning issued June 30 at 9:10PM CDT until July 1 at 12:15AM CDT by NWS Amarillo TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of the Panhandle of Texas, including the
following county, Donley.
* WHEN...Until 1215 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 910 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned
area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clarendon, Howardwick, Hedley, Lelia Lake and Greenbelt Lake.
